A South American Escape Part 4 – Buenos Aires

This past Spring, Joline and I embarked on what we considered a trip of a lifetime. Our jaunt took us from the Beaches of Rio, through the Jungles of Iguassu Falls, to the “Paris of South America (Buenos Aires), all the way over to Peru and the Land of the Incas. Below are some of the highlights in photos. Enjoy!

Goodbye Reais, hello Pesos!

After a short flight from Foz Do Iguacu we arrived in Buenos Aires. It is the capital and largest city of Argentina, and the second-largest metropolitan area in South America, after Sao Paulo.  It is located on the western shore of the estuary of the Rio de la Plata, on the southeastern coast of the continent.

Again we traveled off the beaten path as much as possible in this very fashionable metropolitan city. We saw unique neighborhoods, a beautiful tango show, enjoyed great steak and wine and had a great time!

The whole world is represented along its streets – in renowned international designer boutiques, fine dining venues, museums, cultural centers, and modern theaters and cinemas.
